I finally got gxine working and I have another problem. When the DVD plays, and I go to View > Full Screen, the programs gets killed. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Is this a known bug or just for me. Do I need anything else that libdvdcss and libdvdread?
No, it is your gxine that fails. libdvdcss and libdvdread have nothing to do with fullscreen.
cat /var/log/packages/libdvdcss.x.x and /var/log/packages/libdvdread.x.x and read package description to see for what they are usefull for read dvds.
yeah again i'm another one who had this issue. And yes I did the same as most people, removed the gxine frontend and installed the default xine one. much better.
But hopefully in slack10 it'll fix this problem. can't wait for my DVD install verson to arrive
