gtkrc question

greetings all,

I modded a theme for use with slackware available here:

my question is: does anyone know, or can anyone help me edit gtkrc so users don't have to set the panel background manually for gnome2x or MATE?

I like this one... and will have a go of it after I finish up some "stuff" on my Slack14.1 VBox install...

whenever you have the time. the theme is just about done! I also noticed that in some programs such as audacious and gucharmap have horrible menus, can you take a poke at those also? I also noticed in xchat the deselected userlist color is dark blue on some machines. do you get this? also another possible fix.
