gtk-recordMyDesktop issues on multiple records

I'm running Slackware 14 (32 Bit) with XFCE Desktop. I've installed gtk-recordMyDesktop.
I can select a window and record. I don't get the beginning of the video capture, as shown
with playback with mplayer or kplayer.

The first ~5 seconds of any video isn't captured.

On a second capture I get a partial image with enlarged pixels in the video like the image
is being blocked out or partially hidden, like they do on TV to cover up a section of the
video they are hiding.

If I exit the software and execute it again I can get somewhat of a good video, missing the
first part of the capture.

Has anyone else tried gtk-recordMyDesktop (gtk-recordmydesktop-0.3.8.tar.gz)
It should be easy to test, as it is easily duplicated......sometimes.

I've attached a png of one screen, as an example.
