GSB (Current x86) - Minimal Install and Manual Install Questions

Hello,

I am currently enjoying GSB recently as I find gnome suits my work flow for my current project and work.

I like to avoid redundancy and prefer not to install packages I do not need, which is why I post the following question...

Is it possible to do the lynx->script->bash install but exclude certain packages (such as epiphany etc)?

If not, I have tried a manual install but even by installing everything, I cannot get X to start.

Does anyone know of a way to minimise the net install?

Thank you

Yes, but you can run into trouble if you pare back too much. If you take out a perfectly useless looking ld-linux.so, _Absolutely_Nothing_ will run.

What's the error> X not starting deserves it's own thread. Post what happens.

Some distro's offer a minimal install. What distro are you using? The linuxfromscratch book is a start - all is there, and comments on what is needed. Kevux is pretty minimal
