The T-shirts are in the SlackShop!

For the dutchguys: The international postage ( U.S.A. -> Europe/Netherlands) we'll split, national redistribution I'll take care off.

Since there are requests dropping in Europe-wide, I can facilitate, but I will have to charge ( a little ) for the redistribution ( postage ).. I'm willing to do pay for the orders in advance, but I do need the word of you all that you eventually will pay ( paypay or banktranfer via IBAN/SWIFT ) for the european-postage.

PS: Maybe the booksigning thing by AlienBob/Eric could still be arranged...

*edit*

I just send an e-mail to sales@ the store, just to inquire about the quality/sizes of the leeT-shirts: USA clothing sizes are possible different from the european ones,..

*edit 2*
As for the book-signing thing in the posting below: A sign from it's holy-Pat-ness would offcourse be the non-plus-ultra

I will pay for the 1337 t-shirt if you order me one (large). Bank transfer, or hard cash. And we can arrange a meeting somewhere in the area (Arnhem was a proposal but another city will be equally fine, say, Antwerp ;-) ) Anyone able to join is welcome.

@alienBOB

Have you ever considered approaching Pat with the idea of doing some production in Europe?

It's possible the sales could go up substantially. I've certainly always been put off by the shipping fees, not to mention delays. Given the large user base on this continent and the low trans-European shipping costs it just seems like it might be worth doing.

Hello sjampoo,

Thank you for your initiative.

If it's not too late, I'm in France and I'll take a 1337 T-shirt size L (Large). I'll pay by bank transfer.

Please also consider that there will probably be additional EU customs duties and VAT to be paid, a few years ago this was something like 20-25%.

As for the large leet t-shirt, I could e.g. pay for the good in advance, and once you know the cost for shipping and bureaucracy, I'll transfer the rest.

I will post a deadline within a few days: until than I'm taking orders. I expect somewhere next week, as I will have some days off from work.

Customs totally forgot about that.

I could do a gigantic roadtrip: Berlin, Vienne, Italie, France, Belgium, Eindhoven-de-gekste BerkelnRodenrijs...

I just might.. But first, let's see how this one goes.. with customs and all as a unknown side-effect.
As of now I decided our national liberation day to be a nice 'deadline', since I will have the day off.

So, I'm taking European orders for the slackware store until 13:37 CET 05-05-2011.
EDIT: L33T-o-clock passed today.

- All books from the slackware store can be signed by Eric (Alien Bob) and optional me (by special request)
- T-shirts: Unless specifically mentioned, will be the black l33t T-shirts, (Brand/Type: Hannes Beefy) Please do mention the requested size!
- National delivery (inside NLD) : Postage payed by me
- European delivery : Postage from NLD to your home payed by you.

- Since customs might interfere and european postage is subject to your weight of your order, I will personally pay the complete sum in advance.
I will not be charging for paper, tape, cardbordboxes, time, traintickets, coffee or anything else that I will be consuming while working on the orders. I depend on all of you that you eventually will pay. If customs will charge a VAT/BTW/ImportCharge, the costs will be shared equally over the total costs per order. You can depend on me that every euro spend will be for the benefit of Slackware or postage costs. If in the end there are some penny's left, I will donate them to slackware.

- I will not do refunds if your computer is not 'Slackware Logo' ready, KDE will only run without Atlantis screensaver or any other complaints on size, fabric or delivery time

Reason for this group-buy may be clear to you all;
1) Supporting Slackware instead of US Posts ( saving on USA->EU postage )
2) Possibility to order if you don't have a creditcard or paypal ( payment possible through EU bank transfer )
3) Getting your books signed ( by Eric ) as a nice bonus
4) ?????
5) Profit!

I edited the first posting with the orders so far. ( http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...rested-870775/ )

Changes can be made until closing date. I will update the list in the first post.

*Group-buy-closed*

As soon as I have all the right sizes and shirts definite, I will contact Theresa about the purchase, and estimated delivery date.

Dear all,

No, no real news. I tried contacting HarryHaller for a few times, since he didn't mention which T-shirts he would like, and since then weeks passed. I apologize for the delay. Since I've seen no sign of life from HarryHaller I'm a bit afraid about what might/will happen: He's ordered quite a load of stuff..

I think I'll just take the plunge,.. and order tonight; We'll see. Will keep you posted!

You could also order everything, except for the harryhaller stuff. If he does not respond here it may not be certain that you'll get your money back from him soon.
