Graphical boot screen in Slackware 14.0

I was going to attempt to use Busybox and fbsplash to create a graphical boot screen for my install, and was looking for a little guidance.

Mainly I'm curious if this guide is still okay to use on 14. I'm no wiz at making init scripts, so I was hoping someone could maybe take a look at it, and see if there is anything obviously incorrect for usage with 14.

Thanks for your time.

I originally wrote this for 13.somthing I no longer really use slackware as I have switched to LFS so feel free to give this a whirl and see if it works, make sure you back up the relevant files and good luck!
