gpm compilation on gcc 4.x...

Hi.
I recompile my Slackware under gcc 4.1.1.
Do I have any chance to do it with gpm-1.20.1, included in the slackware-current (I installed my OS from the self-prepared dvd from the current repository)?
I think, some people had an experince with incompatible sources with gcc-4.x...
what packages are problematic for above mentioned compilator?

The best way to find out is trail and error. It's best to make a chroot environment or virtual machine, and make the transition in there.

Any particular reason why you want to recompile stuff with gcc 4.x?

If I refer to the debian quality management, it seems that version 1.19 already compiles with gcc 4, so I guess version 1.20 should work.

I haven't any special reason to do it ... though it's excelent situation to check my new mobo and procesor during complitations ( I think, it's necessary to buy the new cooler, because I had dangerous temperature during compilation of perl and shutdown from the thermal protection )

I'll check it.

It isn't the problem to find any patches by google from other distros or individual developers...
After my hard job, I'll try to put the collection of patches somewhere on the web...for maniacs like me
