gpg-kgpg-kleopatra-gpa suddenly broken

i need a way to fix this. for some reason kgpg is overwriting my keyrings and config files with default files every time i open a kde session. i can get functionality back by copying a backup copy of my files in ~./gnupg, but when i exit a session and re-enter, kgpg dumps again saying it can't find it's .conf files, or there's an error in them.

i'm running stock slack 13.37, and all of this mess started when i opened kleopatra to encrypt a file.

i'm kind of disappointed nobody even asked me for more details on this... i got a partial resolution by turning off "restore previous session" in the session manager setup, and copying my backup files into ~./gnupg. however, i realize i must use gpg from a CLI to encrypt/decrypt files. kleopatra hoses my ~./gnupg files every time it's loaded
