Google Talk and Kopete

Hi, I have Slackware current and and trying to connect to
google talk.
I have now installed QCA-1.0 but the Jabber client for Kopete
is still complaining:

"SSL support could not be initialised... This is
most likely because the QCA TLS plugin is not installed on your system"

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Riddick

You might find these pages helpful:

http://delta.affinix.com/qca/
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/fedora/....0-4.i386.html

The second is an rpm so you would need to rpm2tgz it before installing

Thanks for your fast reply:

I have rpm2tgz'ed the one called qca-tls-1.0-4.i386.rpm and
I had already installed qca-1.0-i486-1asz.tgz from linuxpakages.
Kopete is still complaining - how do I check that the installation
of the second part was successful?

Its simple !! Go to http://delta.affinix.com/qca/ download the qca-tls and install like below.

wget http://delta.affinix.com/qca/qca-tls-1.0.tar.bz2

ta xjf qca-tls-1.0.tar.bz2

cd qca-tls-1.0

./configure

make

make install or checkinstall -S -y ( if you have installed the chekinstall package )

Just restart the kopete and configure your Google Talk account.

Regards,
Ricardson Williams
