google earth install error

Hi, I am trying to install Google Earth, and when I try to run the bin file, I get this output:

Verifying archive integrity... All good.

Uncompressing Google Earth for GNU/Linux 4.1.7076.4458..........................................................................

Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key

Any ideas what is up with this?

Are you trying to install this as root? If so that may be the problem, try installing as a regular user.

Slackbuilds.org has a slackbuild script for GoogleEarth. Which will make a nice installable package for you.
