Works for me on latest stock current x86_64 using default fox-toolkit. I test all of my scripts on
clean full Slackware installs, only adding the package dependencies so there is not outside influences.
What happens when you run gmm from the cli? Perhaps that will give something less cryptic than the generic error in your dmesg.

Did you recompile fox-toolkit as well? Considering it was a major upgrade to -current that touched quite a few libraries. I'm thinking by
ligtag-extras you mean taglib-extras? Which was last updated on Sun Oct 4 00:17:50 CDT 2009.
