Gnome Nautilus icons missing in new kernel

I recompiled my 2.6.12.3 kernel using the configuration that the Man provided. But unfortunately, the icon images in nautilus aren't appearing with this new kernel. Instead, I see a curly-something.desktop with unknwon icon image. Can anyone help me?

I can't even view the icons' images when I go to the icon selection utility.

The icons are working finely in the gnome panel though.

Re: Gnome Nautilus icons missing in new kernel

Nautilus icons are not related to your Linux kernel. Try to change your Nautilus icons theme. It is possible that you made others changes (install, remove or upgrade packages ?) to your system before you get this problem.
