Gnome back to -> Full Terminal ? broke?
 

Hi!

I start Gnome from console when I boot up with startx, (xwmconfig), and I used to be able to exit and go back to it by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del (with Slack 9.1 fresh).. or even "log out".. but now (on 2.6.6 kernel).. the monitor just switches off and the comp is running, but is just a blank screen when I do that. Any ideas?

Your graphiccard can be initialised for text and then for graphic, but not back to text mode.
Some cards can not switch back, even with the correct driver. ( I have one of them and another who can switch back with the newest driver now).

Use only text or graphic (open a terminal window) till there is a driver who can switch back.

.. but it worked on the 2.4.22 kernel.. and not the 2.6.6 one.. hmm?!
