Um, Gnome and KDE can't share themes. I don't really understand your question if you aren't wondering how to get KDE to have the same theme selection as gnome.

He wants to know how to get GTK themes to apply to GTK apps when in KDE.
Basically, Gaim matches the current gtk theme you're using if you're in Gnome.
How do you get Gaim to use a specified theme if you're using KDE?

Which is odd because my kde programs will use the kde theme while I'm under gnome. I'd rather they used the gnome theme though.

If you use the gtk-qt theme for your gtk apps they will look more like qt/kde apps and the theme actually uses some of the settings from your qt/kde configuration, such as font size/color.
Do a web search for 'make gtk and qt look alike' and you'll find a couple of pages that tell how to do it.

I'm setting up my theme in my .gtkrc-files (.gtkrc-2.0 should load .gtkrc.mine).
