glibc2.15 security broke stuff..

I just applied glibc updates
Code:

glibc-2.15-x86_64-8_slack14.0.txz
glibc-i18n-2.15-x86_64-8_slack14.0.txz
glibc-profile-2.15-x86_64-8_slack14.0.txz
glibc-solibs-2.15-x86_64-8_slack14.0.txz
glibc-zoneinfo-2013d_2013d-noarch-8_slack14.0.txz

Rebooted, but now Skype, google-earth and wine are not working...
Code:

slackuser@slackmachine:~$ skype
sh: /usr/bin/skype: No such file or directory
slackuser@slackmachine:~$ wine
sh: /usr/bin/wine: No such file or directory
slackuser@slackmachine:~$ winecfg
/usr/bin/winecfg: line 29: /usr/bin/wine: No such file or directoryslackuser@slackmachine:~$ google-earth
sh: google-earth: command not found
slackuser@slackmachine:~$

Any hints on how to correct this one? :p

Since all of those are typically 32-bit apps, did you possibly remove the 32-bit multilib version of glibc? If so, grab alienBOB's multilib packages and install those, and you should be good to go.

Dopey-me  - Reinstalled Alien Bob's glibc and it works now - Though I am using the same glibc I originally downloaded, so I guess I have to watch Alien Bob's page for the corresponding security updates for those glib packages. Thanks for the heads up though. :)
