Currently, I use kismet, however, I'm told that gkismet allows you to connect to the networks that it picks up. So, I downloaded and attempted to run gkismet. It complained about missing gtk-perl modules (Gnome.pm in specific). I have the gtk-perl and gtk2-perl packages from linuxpackages.net installed, though. It turns out they were installed using the Gtk-Perl package with the --without-guessing parameter, meaning that only the basic gtk modules were compiled and installed. If you try to build gtk-perl on Slackware using the basic perl Makefile.PL, make and make install, you get errors concerning Gnome.pm.
Can anyone get gkismet to run under Slackware 10.1 (upgraded to the latest changelog under current as of March 5)? Here is the gkismet page:
