You should reply to the questions asked in the other thread, and stick with it. Competent users are trying to help you there, and our rules forbid double-posts.

Thank you for your in-put but after a week with an answer that didnt help and no other replies what would you do?
And the new answer I got didnt help either "SORRY".
I was'nt trying to put all my eggs in one basket you see, I figured that it mite also be a issue with slack not just the GIMP.

Oh and I know the rules, thanks.

Be sure and try the ldconfig -v|less as root.
Also is this a clean install of Slackware or an upgrade? What type of install, full, selective, etc? FMI (For My Information )

Everyone, scatter! A mod is coming.
So you decide that, against forum rules and LQ etiquette that it's fine to crosslink because you didn't get the answer you wanted? Wow, you are so going to have a great time posting here. Go back to your original thread and work out why you haven't been successful, post up more information, try some stuff and post about it.
Don't do this again.
