Question giFT question... Where are my downloads stored?

Hello and thanks for the help that I am sure I will get and so on.
I have just installed giFT and all seems to be working well. I am using giFTcurs for my front-end and all is good, but after a I am finished with a download I can not seem to find it while trying to browse my file system. I can locate with my termanal.
When I am using the termanal I have to go in as root and type:
cd
root@hkp:~# cd ~/.giFT/completed
then I get
root@hkp:~/.giFT/completed#
If I do ls then I do see the stuff I downloaded. Why can't I find this stuff with my file browser?
I also did a defualt setup.
Thanks to all

the. in .giFT means the folder is hidden. you would do best i'd say to just change the downlaod path in ~/.giFT/giftd.conf

The folder is in /root/.giFT ? This means you are running it as root. this is BAD, run it as your normal user!
