Ghostscript fonts in Slackware current
I have recently upgraded to Slackware current and have run across a problem related to Ghostscript fonts. It manifests as being unable to print the test page from CUPS or KDE print manager, which fail silently with no observable error on screen or in any logs that I have checked. Also I am unable to display the /usr/share/cups/data/testprint.ps file in KGhostview or other postscript viewers.
Running 'gs -sDEVICE=x11 /usr/share/cups/data/testprint.ps' from the command line gives errors about being unable to find fonts. The fonts required are available in the old gnu-gs-fonts package, but this package has been replaced with the ghostscript-fonts-std package. http://slackware.osuosl.org/slackwar...nt/UPGRADE.TXT The old package installed the required fonts in the /usr/share/ghostscript/fonts directory, which is a symlink to /usr/share/fonts/Type1. Is the best fix simply to copy the required fonts from the old package to this directory, or have I missed a change made to Slackware current? |
Hmm, is there any solution for this?
I'm faceing the problem, that, since i updated to current, I can't view/print my eps-graphics which have been created with Slackware 11.0. The fonts are missing... Should I copy all the need fonts to /usr/share/fonts/Type1 ? |
