I can't wait for them to sort PIM out, cos it could be excellent, but it's nowhere near there yet imho. I hear 4.5 is very much a big bugfix release, but perversely they are also introducing an entirely new version of kmail.. i think KDE devs have priorities which are very different to the other major DE devs.
I gave up using PIM when I discovered the hard way the nasty little bug that can erase all your google calendar entries when you connect it to KOrganizer. Interesting few days followed that one. I also read on the KDE forum about an even worse bug, when it was discovered that Dolphin has been causing silent memory loss when copying large numbers of files. A few people found that for every, say, 100 files copied, only 98 appeared at the target dir! The others lost, silently.
Bugs like that are unforgivable in my mind for any software, free or not. I'm still sticking with KDE cos I don't throw in the towel easily, but I won't be using PIM or Dolphin for a long time!
