Get Slack 1.0?

Is it possible to find and download the old Slackware 1.0 floppy images? I know it's 12 years old now, I just want to see what it was like.

Thanks much. 1.1.2 is close enough for me. I'll definitely be taking a look at that and maybe I'll be able to find a use for my junk laptop that's been setting in the corner with no screen.

How slow is your machine? I have slack 10.1 running fine on a p133 with 28Mb RAM and a 700Mb hard drive.

It has a 300Mhz AMD, 64MB RAM, and a 4GB drive, but it was in so bad of shape when I got it, I haven't had much luck installing anything.

Did the kernel in version 1.* support CDROM drives? And booting from them?

Forget the ancient kernel and just install 10.0 or 10.1 as someone else recommended. Choose a lightweight GUI or no X at all. I use a similar laptop sitting in the corner playingvaudio CDs and ogg files.
