This is what is standingon the screen:

In Idle task - not syncing

This is the first time I am use linux, and I complete newb at this.
What should I do to get my pc running again?

Get a different distribution. And this time, pay attention to what you do with it. And also, read some documentation before you do anything.

Do you mean that I shall change Linux? I tested to that, but when I start the installation, the same screen came up. What shall I do?

Togmannen: Sounds like it could be a hardware problem. I suggest finding a copy of memtest and run that for a while. If I understand correctly you tried to reinstall and got kernel panic before linux finished loading off your slackware disc? I've never seen that happen before and my geuss is that your culprit is RAM.

Found out what was the problem. It was the memory, all is fine now.
Thanks for helping!

It amazes me that someone has take the time to write something this unhelpful and in such a pleasant tone!

dkpw...I wholly agree. As a user who is still learning myself, I try to help when I can and sometimes I need to be corrected by an another more advanced user, which I find helpful itself. I have had these kinds of replies before (thankfully not often.) However, if I haven't got a clue how to help, I just won't post rather than post something totally unhelpful
