Get helper tools for Slackware here

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/...nload/scripts/

I've made available a collection of helpful scripts for Slackware. Here's a short description of a couple.

chksysdeps - checks the library dependencies of all binaries on your system

chktgzdeps - checks the dependencies of a tgz package without unpacking it.

localepurge - removes unwanted language translations from your system (removed about 200MB of them on my medium-sized system)

kwikpkg - a modified checkinstall that runs a bit cleaner and faster.

mkresetperms - creates a script to restore the original file permissions on your system.

show-services shows which services are currently running

undeb unpacks a Debian archive

unrpm unpacks an RPM in the current directory

whichpkg finds which package a file belongs to by reading the Manifest. (This is not the script by Tank which looks among the installed packages)
