gcc problem after upgrade to 9.1

I am *swaret*ing all packages from 9.0 to 9.1.
I have to build up my php developing environment, that means apache+php and mySql. Trying to compile (./configure) php I get the following:
[...]
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.

Alright. I know I messed up gcc libs in the update, but where do I get a hint of what I am missing?

Hey there, fasta Don't know how to help you with this one, I'm afraid... Except with pushing the thread to the top in the forum

hey fasta, is there a special reason you're compiling yourself, why not simply install the slack packages and then upgrade to the latest apache, ssl, php & mysql? Are you needing to compile with particular flags in order to get a certain feature or just 'cause you prefer to compile yourself?
