Gaim Openq (QQ) plugin, no connect
 

Hi all. Ok sorted out the complile issue with openq plugin for Gaim and got it all installed properly, I think??

After running the install script (install dir = /usr/local/openq-0.3.2/) I ran Gaim and nothing much seemed to have changed, no QQ plugin. So I copied libqq.la, libqq.lai & libbqq.so to /usr/lib/gaim.

Then QQ shows in gaim and I can add a QQ account, set the user name and pw etc. However when ever I try to connect the progress bar get about 3/4 of the way along and does nothing.

MSN connects ok though. Do I have to do something with the firewall?? I have it set as standalone. Or is it something else.

To test whether you need to set something in firewall, try turning firewall off and then try connect with Gaim.
