You'll see that in OSX and Linux, the CPU usage is much higher than in Windows. Flash really doesn't work very well in Linux. I wish it were otherwise, but so far I haven't come across any solution. Youtube videos, at least, can be downloaded and played locally, which makes them watchable.

Sadly, none of above said works. Flash player under linux is really monster. You know, my system could play ripped HD TV mp4 very good, but no luck with full screen flash movies within browser.

Have you tried to turn of hardware acceleration in flash settings?

Yes I tried this method without any help. Stone age here now because of Adobe

I wonder whether flashplayer version 9 will work better? Where to download it? I searched the net but could not find any link for version 9.xxx
