Ok sorry it took me awhile to respond i've been busy trying to get kernel 2.6.0-test9 working. Anyways su - then type modprobe usb-storage that will activate the module usb-storage duh!! anyways do that and if u get anyerrors post them if it works fine then good!!! Ok now u have to edit fstab ok so open something like pico so # pico /etc/fstab then it will open Ok u have to add in this: or something like this is what mine looks like:
/dev/sda1 /mnt/FujiFilm auto noauto,owner,rw 0 0
/dev/sda1 /home/Matt/FujiFilm auto noauto,owner,users,pid=1001 0 0
Thats what i add if u only add the first one users wont be able to copy ...etc the pictures from the camera so thats why i added /home/Matt/FujiFilm. You can just make the new dir and name it FujiFilm or whatever u what to go to inorder to access your pictures just make sue w/e u name it that u put it in fstab. I hope that made sense hehe. Anyways once u get all that up turn on ur camera and then if u want u can make a shortcut on ur desktop to EX. /home/Matt/FujiFilm so all u have to do is right click. Then you mount it then open something like konqueror and go to EX. /home/Matt/FujiFilm then ur camera should add dirs into that directory like dcim then 100_fuji and ur pics will be in there!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! its alots of fun!!!!! oh also my camera shows up as a 1600 but on the bottom of it says its a 2600 so just thought i would point that out just incase anyways i hope this helps!!! Its awsome....

Thank you! This FinePix 2600 set-up works on RedHat too.
I also have the Fuji FinePix 2600 Zoom Digital camera. I have been trying to get this camera configuired on RedHat Enterprise on and off for a few months now. I finally Googled-it and stumbled onto this posting. I added the two lines Matt mentioned earlier to the fstab file and tada... It worked!!!
Thank you so much. Now if I could only get my Lexar Jumpdrive to work.
Keep up the good job!
