We all know that everyone has their favorite Linux distro, and we all can spout off 50 zillion reasons why our brand of Linux is the best.
Ease of use, stability, secure, fast, and various application packages......we all have our preference and it is also safe to say that Linux users are NOT ashamed to share this info either.
Well, I am a recent convert to the Linux world (thank you very much) and the brand I have chosen is Slackware 10.
Now that I have gotten past the first step in my journey to be a Linux Geek, I am now focusing on setting up a FTP Server. In my past life I was using win2000pro and Bulletproof FTP Server to share the thousands and thousands of files that I have hoarded over the years.
Like Linux, there are many varieties of FTP Servers out there, and I am sure many of you have your opinion on which one is the easiest, or most secure, etc.....
So, let's hear it. I have been trying to get proftpd setup and configured for the last two weeks, and after many hours of reading and researching...I'm fed up. There are other options out there and I would like to know what they are, how they work. I know I can't be the only one who wants to know this info.
So....please share.
Thanks,
Webshark
