I just installed slack 10.1 onto a intel D915GEV mobo with 1G ram and two SATA 120GB drives. I am not new to linux or slack and have the entire system up and running.
Where I am having problems right now tho is with the onboard sound. I seems to be detected and alsa was installed but it did not function and mixer levels were all ok and not muted.
I found the Intel linux drivers for this Mobo and installed them via a little script AUD_LINUX_1.5_BETA.sh and it also detected and installed a Modified version of ALSA drivers.
So now I get sound but it is all distorted and choppy or looping with distortion ... anyone seen this before? Please point me into the right direction
