Freeze on install.

When I try to install slackware 10.2 with test26.s it freezes after
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1c.0[A] no GSI
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:1c.0[B] no GSI

When I install it with bare.i it works fine. Do I just have to wait?

i installed it with bare.i, then upgraded to 2.6.14.6 which is available on the slackware packages list now. i did have to add the line "acpi=off" to my grub boot line, otherwise it just wouldn't boot.

You should install with a stock kernel (bare.i), and once it's up and running, then it's time to get the 2.6 kernel.

Also - Do you use a scsi/sata hard drive? Is that why you're using the .s instead of .i kernel?

I think you can only use s with the test26 kernel.
