FPC and Lazarus on slack

well I don't really know if this is the right place for my question but I think here I'll find more especific replies. To start I downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=89339 : fpc-2.0.0-0.i586.rpm - fpcsrc-2.0.0-0.i386.rpm - lazarus-0.9.8-fpc_2.0.0_0.i386.rpm
rpm2tgz and installpkg all of then. type lazarus on de command line and it loads without any error. I try to press the play just to see if it is working, and it gives me a message Fatal: Can't find unit glib. I went to slackware.com and download the lastest glib and gtk but the same error persists. some searches on google and nothing! there is a FAQ on lazarus web page but it doesn't hv the solution!! If someone can help it will be very nice to made my school works (delphi ones).

Right now i can give you a hint because I don't have it on Slackware. It doesn't find glib unit (the Delphi file), not the package, so it's a problem with fpc that's not looking at the right directory where glib.pas (or pp) should be. Try seeing if you've to setup some enviroment value for it to run.

Hi I solved this problem and if someone is having this problem too here is the solution:
cd /usr/lib/fpc/VERSIO/
samplecfg /usr/lib/fpc/VERSION/ /etc "HERE pay attention do not put a "/" if you put then it will create a /etc/fpc.cfg/fpc.cfg! and you just need the fpc.cfg on /etc!
I hope it helps someone!

Lazarus and glib problems

For me these comand was:
./samplecfg /usr/lib/fpc/2.0.2 /etc from directory /usr/lib/fpc/2.0.2/
And everything is working fine on Slackware 11.0 (Kernel 2.6.18) and Toshiba satellite a 30

Thanks a lot for explanation!!!
