To completely get rid of Slackware, all I have to do is rewrite my partitions? So boot in with the CD, do fdisk /dev/hda, and delete every single one. Then write the new set.

I'am asking because I want to reinstall the distro, since I screwed something up, and it wont even get past the loading screen.

You should be able to wipe out your drive using fdisk after you booted the setup disk (floppy or CD). If you cannot boot that, it sounds like a BIOS issue.

Edit: To clarify: Yes, just boot the CD and delete or reformat with fdisk. If you want to keep your partition scheme I don't think you need to run fdisk at all, as the installer will format them for you (I think).

Alright excellent. I'am able to boot with the CD, i'am not just able to boot into Slackware.
It doesnt matter, I didnt have anything important on there installed.

So I do this:

fdisk my drive
and delete all the partitions.
then just recreate them.
