Foobillardplus slackbuild
 

I've found an update to one of my favourite games, FooBillard. There is now a version called FooBillardPlus-3.42beta. It has enhanced graphics and gameplay.

I've found a slackbuild https://github.com/PhantomX/slackbui...foobillardplus, but I've no idea how to use github.

Can some one help.

you will find that you will be turning off MOST of the "eye-candy" in FooBillardPlus
as it can be VERY annoying
like the fireplace
turn off the "extra textures" and "room-textures"

This seems to download all of the slackbuilds. I only want the one for FooBillardPlus. I guess I will open them all up and cut and paste, unless there is an easier way.

besides, i guess you will need some of the dependencies as well

True, but that seems to be a complete waste of time, I don't buy everything in the supermarket if all I want is eggs. I already have the program installed as a test, but I prefer to install things as Slackware packages. I could create my own package, but I'm lazy and what is the point of re-inventing the wheel.

If it is impossible to download a single part of the github then that seems to me to be a very odd way to host a repository of slackbuilds. I'm glad Alien Bob and Robby Workman host their slackbuilds in a sensible way so that you can download the only the items that you need.

So is there a way to download just that folder or am I going to have to cut and paste?

if you click on the single files, then in the page that displays the file you will have a. "raw" link to the plain file that you can dowload.
other git interfaces, like cgit, can display also the raw folder tree, so it's easy to download all the files in a folder.

does this SlackBuild still works on the newer version of foobillardplus?

Brilliant opened raw page and did a right click save as and it saved correctly. Package built and installed and working.

It doesn't build on the existing slackbuilds.org slackbuild for foobillard3.0a. All I did was change the name of the program and the version number. It extracts the tar.gz but fails with the following samac
