Fonts Problem Anywhere

I 'm using 13.1 and 13.37 system. Then I noticed a small font difference after 13.37 install. But it was terrible when I try to play an online game. Then starting a search I found slack changes and hints ( symbolic link solution )

# ln -s ../conf.avail/10-autohint.conf /etc/fonts/conf.d/

and another interesting Daedra thread ( unfortunatelly only 64 bits solution ).
http://www.mostlyslack.com/slackstuff/cleartype"][/URL]
I did some procedures but it is not possible a correct fonts adjusts. It is wrested during game function, kde pages and firefox 4. How can I solve it?

I 'm very awful!!! I didn't understand yet. It 's not possible to untar cairo and freetype .tar.gz after downloading below webpage. Only libxft.

http://webpages.charter.net/daedra1/cleartype/

Solving a 13.37 fonts system, may I do slackbuilds packages and new patches to it?

I just downloaded and checked them, they untar fine. What problem are you having on your end exactly?

Also, I have the sources posted in two places
http://www.mostlyslack.com/slackstuff/cleartype/
http://webpages.charter.net/daedra1/cleartype/

I would use the first link since the second one is going to disappear soon, however they both work as of now.

At first I thought 13.37 fonts was ok! But a online game concerned! Then I realized this problem:

http://img820.imageshack.us/i/snapshot2q.png/

http://img10.imageshack.us/i/snapshot4y.png/

I did also webcore slackbuilds install, fontforge slackbuilds, a ln -sf ../conf.avail/10-autohint.conf /etc/fonts/conf.d/ and .Xdefaults. Ufortunately it is not functional yet! If I doing cairo and freetype myself to use in CRT what kind of compiled patches should I use?

After untar cairo:
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

We'll my patches are for LCD monitors and won't do anything for a CRT.

Are you trying to make your fonts look like this screenshot http://www.formz.com/forum2/messages/16/7281.jpg? The fonts are rendered with the bytecode interpreter enabled and no anti aliasing which IMO looks best on CRT's. Traditional sub-pixel rendering is only available to LCD's or CRT's with a trinitron tube like sony made so unless you have a trintron tube CRT you cant use my patches.

Thatīs all, but can you suggest me another way to solve this Leet ( 13.37 ) problem?

I īm looking for libs and fonts packages differents between 13.37 and 13.1. Do you think applicable?

1) l/t1lib-5.1.2-i486-1.txz: Removed.
There is little use these days for Type 1 fonts and the library is not
maintained. If anyone really needs this, fetch it from Slackware 13.1
2)Removed obsolete /etc/fonts/conf.avail/60-liberation.conf.

I 'm googling yet. There is a kdm auto-login. What's the correct startx -??dpi command for this resolution?

My output xdpyinfo and var/log/Xorg.0.log part:

$ xdpyinfo | grep -B1 dot
dimensions: 1024x768 pixels (313x232 millimeters)
resolution: 83x84 dots per inch

/var/log/Xorg.0.log
