fonts.conf is deprecated?

In 14.1 x64, nearly every graphical program curses with
Code:
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/50-user.conf", line 14:
reading configurations from ~/.fonts.conf is deprecated.
My .fonts.conf contains instructions for anti-aliasing, so what's the laziest, yet the soundest way to fix this now, before it's too late?

Hello,

Since fontconfig >=2.10 (don't remember exactly) the user font configuration must be in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/fontconfig/fonts.conf or $HOME/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf when XDG_CONFIG_HOME is not set (or empty).

Cheers.
