Font sizes seem different between 12.0 and 12.1?
I recently bought a new hard drive for my laptop and decided to take the opportunity to upgrade to 12.1. So now I have Slackware 12.0 on the old hard drive and a fresh 12.1 on the new hard drive. One of the first things I noticed, was that in X all the fonts seem a lot bigger in 12.1. I'm using almost exactly the same xorg.conf file (I had fglrx on 12.0 but it doesn't seem to install properly on 12.1 regardless of what kernel I use). I thought it was the DPI so I tried 'startx -- -dpi 96' which looked better, but still wrong. I booted back to 12.0 and found that dpyinfo reports the DPI was not 96x96 in 12.0 so what else could account for the same fonts rendering at different sizes?
I'm getting extremely frustrated with this. HELP!!!
