fyi, you can still install fluxbox from that link btw - it's only a 500Kb download, then su as root and install it - should run very nice on a default installation - than head over to www.fluxmod.dk and pick up some cool themes for it.
g'luck dude

make sure the kernel '/boot/vmlinuz' exists on your machine, then you linux entry should be like this:-

image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hdc1
label = Linux
read-only

I'll need to see the lilo.conf if you want my help 'coz I'm at a window box and I don't keep most of this stuff in my head!
Are you editing the lilo.conf file manuallly and then running /sbin/lilo
or are you using the setup script through pkgtool?
Also, do you have a windows partition, and what's it's details?
Also, why are installing to the MBR, why not just install to your root and set the partition active?

You can reinstall lilo in MBR with a linux boot cd, when system loaded do :
mount /dev/hdc7 /mnt
/mnt/sbin/lilo -r /mnt
umount /mnt
