fluxbox : fbsetbg
When I boot up my slackware machine and type startx, fluxbox begins to load but then gets the error "fbsetg cannot find background /usr/share/fluxbox/splash.jpg". if I hit "okay" the dialog box will close but nothing else loads. I can see my original background and gkrellm starts up but I can't right click to get my menu, and the bar on the bottom (sorry im not sure what it's called) doesn't show up either.
I'm pretty sure this is because I enabled the splash screen on fluxbox startup, so I think disabling would fix this but I don't know how or where to do this. Could anyone tell me how? |
Ah I have fixed my problems.
After using links for a while (that was interesting and fun :D) I started playing with my ~/.fluxbox/startup file. It took a good few times but I would change a couple lines and I ended up removing gkrellm from the startup file and uncommented (I think that is the right term) a few lines about the desktop background and splash screen and I'm back in fluxbox and posting from firefox. |
