Fluxbox and GTK problems with slack

Hi. I'm not completely sure that this is a slack exclusive problem, but since I'm using slack 9, I wasn't sure where else to put it.

I'm using fluxbox as a wm, and it's working great except that whenever I use a gtk dependant program it looks awful. I run gnome-font-properties, and it remembers my settings from the last session "bitstream, 8" and stuff like GAIM looks fine afterwards.

My question is this. Is there any way that I can have fluxbox recognize my gtk choices automatically upon loading? Obviously they're saved somewhere, as they come up automatically when I use gnome-font-properties and they work fine off the bat with gnome.

It's just slightly annoying to have to run gnome-font-properties everytime I start a session.

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to fix this by putting a .gtkrc-2.0 in your home directory, if it is not already there, and adding the line to it:
gtk-font-name="bitstream 8"

Thanks for the help. Just one other thing.

Is there something I can put into the .gtkrc file to give the fonts a default size too?

Sorry for not replying sooner. I have been away from the forum for a few days. Yes, the number in the font name should be the point size you end up with (for true type fonts like this). If you want the size to be different, just adjust the number accordingly from 8 to 10 or 12 or whatever. That's the way it should work anyway.
