flash video - audio out of sync

Hi, this problem has been there for some time, but there is a big chance it is not slackware related. It all started at some moment when following slackware-current, or upgrading flash plugin. Any video that plays from flash starts normally, but with no sound. After some seconds (4-5?) the sound starts, but the video is a that time ahead. I've got no idea if this is a flash problem, or else.
What i have tried:

downgrading flash player plugin, upgrading when updates are released, with no luck

Switching to a new user, still the same.

Any advice would be appreciated.

This has been that way with me for years. I used to use SuSE/openSUSE and it was that way with that distro also. It's an Adobe thing is my guess. They don't want to put as much effort into the app for linux as they do for M$ users/ systems, IMHO.

yeah, but it does work at home on my 32 bit pc, and works ok. and it also used to work correctly on this laptop some time ago. so i figure it just might be a setting somewhere, but i have no idea where to look. i also thought i might reinstall on a different hard rive, but this one has a 1,8" SSD, and i don't have any to try on :(

Same here. Anyone?

I wouldn't never update the flash plugin unless it was old and severely bugged. And by the way Adobe will not update Flash for Linux anymore, so there's no point updating it.

Try using: flashplayer-plugin/
flashplayer-plugin-11.2.202.251-x86_64-1alien.txz

There are more security vulnerabilities (and active exploits in the wild!) for Flash than any other piece of software I use. Unless absolutely necessary to hold a version back, you should definitely update the Flash plugin. Adobe has abandoned further feature development of the npapi plugin, but they still release security updates. Giving information like that is highly irresponsible IMO...
