Firefox reporting incorrect adobe flash version?

For the past few weeks i get a warning about any flash applet/video saying i'm using a vulnerable version where i can click to allow it to load... yet i do have the latest version.

It seems the version in firefox differs from what i have installed. The only flash library i have installed is the one from AlienBOB packages which has a different version. See attached screenshot.

Flash still works fine, but curious why firefox detects a different version number. Anyone else experiencing this?

I use version 22,0,0,209, I recommend you upgrade to pepperflash.

Yup, correct version for npapi flash on linux. Like Emerson, I'd suggest you upgrade to using pepperflash if you want a current version of flash. Adobe long ago stopped developing the linux npapi flash plugin, and only have been releasing security patches for it for a couple years now. Only pepperflash gets developed for linux now.
