The newest version of mplayerplug-in crashes really really really often for me. I had to rollback to 3.35 or even 3.31 will work ok.

can try compiling the latest src yourself , just give it a relevant directory for itself ... wont hurt your older src ...

run "./configure --help" to see the available options , make a few varieties if possible ... also have a look at the *flags options in the makefiles ...

//but then ... we also have this http://dekorte.homeip.net/download/gecko-mediaplayer/ ...

have finished doing gecko-mediaplayer-0.0.4.tar.gz and gnome-mplayer-0.4.4.tar.gz in my ubuntu ...

believe me , it is stable enough(my yardstick though ^_^) ... works great in firefox and opera ... but seems that it needs somekind of gnome things to be around no-matter what ... i'm only able to run it under gnome and enlightment for both browsers ... if i run it under my icewm and maybe blackbox(cant remember) , the video "holder" jumps out of opera and keeps on playing by itself somewhere else ... a bit funny ...

i can see the great differences between x and gtk ... gl and x too ...

wise decision ... i cant be bother about my bsd and puppy too ... ^_^
