I have tried the x86-64 binary provided by ftp.mozilla.org (firefox-42.0.tar.bz2)

It does not crash

No crash here, on current with firefox 42 with that site. But without hardware acceleration, I've turned that off (in about:preferences#advanced)

I have tried after removing the cache (.config/mozilla), renaming ~/.mozilla and disabling hardware acceleration. It still crashes but differently: not immediately after loading the page, but if I try to open a new browser tab.

No crash here on slackware64-current. Very strange that it crashes on three different computers for you.

I have tried 'firefox -safe' from the console

It does not crash afer opening http://leseconoclastes.fr/ , but it does if I try to open something in another tab

I get the following error messages

Quote:

In /var/log/messages I get this

I think that I have solved the problem. Recently I have changed the sound options in KDE : from VLC to Gstreamer. And I think that firefox tried to use gstreamer1, they seem to cohabit with difficulty ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1105890 ). In this link I found that I had to set media.gstreamer.enabled in about:config to "False". This works, I have no crash (and I have sound in firefox).
