Firefox connection problems
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, but I get frequent problems with firefox refusing a connection. To google.co.uk, ebay.co.uk, and often it will connect to say linuxquestions.org, but fail to load any images. I get the same problem sometimes with thunderbird. It seems to be some evenings. I've just checked with Dillo and it all works fine. This is a fairly recent problem, since 1.5 appeared. Any ideas?

This would probably indicate a network connection problem since you are experiencing the same thing with all browsers. How stable is your internet connection?

I think it must be a service issue, I had some trouble with the Windows computer as well, so it's nothing to do with firefox/slackware it would seem. I'm not sure what's causing it.

Hi,
I would check your network!
Another possibility would be the 1.5 package you installed. Where did you get the packages?
