find error in /proc

Well, hello

Each time I do a find in /proc, I get this error:

Quote:
find: WARNING: Hard link count is wrong for /proc: this may be a bug in your filesystem driver. Automatically turning on find's -noleaf option. Earlier results may have failed to include directories that should have been searched.
Can anyone tell me what to do?

If I downgrade findutils, can it work?

B/c I need to search something in /proc.

Im on Slackware 11.0

Before, there was NO problems on Slackware 10.2

Thanx for help, very appreciated

Blue

You should not even attempt to find anything in /proc because it is constantly changing! It is a most dangerous thing to do, and sooner or later you will corrupt your entire system.

What on earth are you trying to find?

Seems to me the message told you what to do - use noleaf.

Can anyone tell me how can I alias the find command to find -noleaf?

I would like to put a script doing that in /etc/profile.d

If I can't do it in /etc/profile.d, where can I? or HOW?

Thanx A LOT!

echo alias find=\"find --noleaf\" >> .bashrc (or .zshrc for zsh etc) is one way, if that was what you wanted to know
