Finally! Ordered a t-shirt from the store..

I feel a little silly saying this, since I am a grown man and all, but after years of saying I wanted one, I finally ordered the black Slackware T-shirt and I won't lie, I'm kind of excited! :D

Actually I ordered two. What can I say, I'm a big fan of black t-shirts... and Slackware!

hitest 08-28-2012 03:36 PM

Awesome! I'm a proud owner of two Slackware T-shirts and the baseball cap. I bought my subscription as well. Praise Bob. :)

ruario 08-28-2012 03:41 PM

I also own two Slackware T-Shirts. One of them being the 1337 special edition.

Interesting that we all have 2. ;)

Jeebizz 08-28-2012 03:45 PM

I got the 1337 shirt, Serious Slack shirt, and Got Slack Shirt. I do have my eye on the polo shirt, maybe I will get that one this coming x-mas :p

D1ver 08-28-2012 05:50 PM

I bought the DVD subscription and a 13.37 T-shirt a few weeks back. Was very impressed at the store service, it was shipped to Australia in only a few days.

damgar 08-28-2012 06:55 PM

I always wonder which item Pat gets the most money on.

I'd guess at the DVD's being pretty profitable. Maybe not taking into account man hours required to produce the content, but DVD's are cheap to mass produce!

zbreaker 08-28-2012 08:03 PM

Yep...pretty much the same here....2 t-shirts...one standard one 13.37, dvd subscription..next is either the baseball cap...or polo shirt!

vtel57 08-28-2012 08:12 PM

I WANT ONE! :(

No $$$ available for that at this time, though. I'm jealous.

frankbell 08-28-2012 09:52 PM

I have two of the polo shirts.

They are really well made. I wear them to my LUG meetings (and every other chance I get).

tommcd 08-29-2012 03:15 AM

You guys should also check out the Slackware mouse pads. They are the best mouse pads I have ever used. They are big and warm and fuzzy, just like a mouse pad should be. It just makes my hand relax every time I I touch it!

I just pre-ordered my Slackware 14 DVD also!

red_fire 08-29-2012 03:29 AM

Hmm,, i'm just wondering why was 13.37 the commemorative one. .?
Although it does seem that that version is one of the remarkable one

The other one being 10.2 personally since that was my first slackware :DD

I'm thinking of getting one as well and not sure if i should get that limited version

I think the "donation" one ;)

kikinovak 08-29-2012 05:42 AM

Ordered the full package (two t-shirts, baseball cap, bumper sticker, case plates) about two weeks ago. Now first thing in the morning after coffee I check my letterbox with the same spirit of restless anticipation like Christmas when I was five years old.

dlachausse 08-29-2012 11:58 AM

Just to pile on, I'm the proud owner of the excellent 13.37 T-shirt as well. When my finances get a little less shaky I will definitely buy some more swag.

i've got two -- the black "classic" one and the blue "serious" one :)

lemmens 08-30-2012 05:48 AM

Also bought 2 T-shirts recently and wear them very proud now :-), but I didn't like giving my creditcard information.
I made an exception only because it is Slackware, but I would really like to see that the Slack store would accept Paypal in the future. In that case I think many more people - especially non-US residents - would find it much easier and safer to support Slack !

They do have an option to make donations via Paypal, though I'll grant you this doesn't help much if you actually want a specific piece of merchandise and rather than just buying stuff to support Slackware.

brianL 08-30-2012 06:17 AM

I've only got one standard T-shirt (+ a subscription, and the occasional donation (when I can afford it (which isn't very often (unfortunately)))). <=== Looks like Lisp.

damgar 09-04-2012 10:19 AM

They're here! They're here!

THEY'RE HERE! The shirts arrived in the mail today! Not even a full 7 days since I ordered them over Labor Day weekend! VERY NICE!:D

I've got a Polo, ball cap, blue Slackware t-shirt, original black Slackware and the limited edition Slackware t-shirt. I have had the blue and original Slackware t-shirt for over 4 years now, little faded but still good to go!!
