File size limit exceeded when files over 200mb approx.
 

For some reason I can´t copy any files over about 200mb. I am using reiserfs and have plenty of space on the disks I am trying to copy files on. I have also tried this as root but it doesn´t make any difference.

Also I am using the latest kernel 2.6.11

This is really frustrating :(

What error message do you get?
What is the output of "df -h"?

Might want to look at your ulimit settings too.
Came across a problem like that in another thread somewhere. Seems ulimit was limiting file sizes.

Hey uselpa thanks but I had 200gbs free. buaku that was spot on I had been playing with that file and obviously forgot about it:rolleyes:

Sorry if I am missinformed, but isn't reiserfs meant to work best with smaller files?

Cool deal! Glad that thread came in handy.

Reiserfs works fine with big files, just not as quite as fast as other systems like JFS can be.
