Fcitx: How does one configure Fcitx? The input and control panels too small to read.
fcitx version: 'GirlDog' 3.5-070703-xft
slackware 12.1 .bashrc Code:
export XMODIFIERS="@im=fcitx" Code:
include "/home/test/.gtkrc-2.0.mine" Code:
style "user-font" { I have successfully installed fcitx but both the control and input panels are far too small to read. I have tested it on several window managers. (xfce, blackbox, fluxbox, wmaker, ratpoison). They don't make a difference. How can I make the panels and their fonts larger? Also: The documentation and configuration files are in chinese which I, as someone just trying to learn, cannot understand. Are there any english translations? (they might contain the solution to the problem). |

That link just takes me to a chinese page - should I try again later? |
edit your ~/.fcitx/config , find the '[程序]' section. And set '显示字体大小' to 12, set '主窗口字体大小' to 11. It may solve your problem. ;)
If you find the text garbled, change the file encoding to 'GB18030'. |
harryhaller, using GBK or GB18030 coding to view the page.
See the code section, it have both chinese and english version config file, one line chinese version, the next line is the corresponding english version. |
grissiom,
I cant read the file. My locale is en_US.UTF-8. I'm looking at the file using this command: Code:
LANG="zh_CN.GB18030" vim ~/.fcitx/config |

The linuxsir is down because of the database error.
I acquired the article from the google cached pages :) Because LQ is a english forum, i hadn't post the fcitx translation to LQ( it include chinese words). But the linuxsir forum is down, so i post it to this thread now. If someone felt uncomfortable, just skip the post. Thanks. Code:

It worked!
Many thanks zhoun and grissiom.:)
That worked fine - with both the translation and the use of kate the problems were solved. I can read the letters clearly. Back to the work of learning chinese. |

Can fcitx be used to input words other than Chinese?
I am curious. |
