"Fatal server error: no screens found" after updating intel drivers (Intel GMA 3650)

Hi!
I've just bought the new netbook Asus 1025c and as soon as I got it out of the paper box I installed on it Slackware 13.37 (dual boot with W7Starter).I compiled the 3.3 kernel in order to get the support, even if experimental, for the Cedarview processor and especially for that GMA 3650 that is now ruining my patience!
Since the compiling of the new kernel I got problems with X because at the logout the screen became black (and the "TerminateServer=true" didn't work for me).
So I downloaded and built from scratch the latest stable release of Intel Linux Graphics (using ./compile -prefix=/usr because otherwise mesa, x86-intel would have been installed on /usr/local). I changed the xorg.conf putting intel as the driver and writing the resolution I achieve in Windows(1024x600). When I rebooted there was no problem until "startx" when appeared that ugly message. I've read some solutions regarding the also "infamous" GMA500 which seems to be the elder sister of my GMA but so far (adding the module as a kernel parameter in lilo) none has worked. Can someone suggest me what to do with that little piece of hell :p ? Is that possible that this has to do also with the mainline kernel (or with a very bad compilation of it :D)?This is my Xorg.0.log. Is there something else I should post? Thanks in advance!

As I understand it, your device is supported by the psb_gfx kernel module.
For the rest of the bad news, have a look at this. http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopi...f=199&p=559681

Thanks for the reply!
I don't think I'll need very badly the 3d acceleration, so far I just want a decent screen resolution and, of course, to get my X server running again!
I've been trying Meego on a USB drive and how it deals with that little piece of hell would be more than satisfying for me: it seemed to me that Meego played some HD videos better than Windows7Starter( but since I have also other needs I prefer Slackware for my netbook).
Anyway I have the gma500_gfx module that appears with lsmod, is this the new name for the module you told (because googling I came to http://linux.bigga.de/blog/blog-post...inline-kernel/ and I assumed it was the same)? Maybe is there something I should have done with it after compiling it as a module? Because I installed the drivers and changed the xorg but I took for granted that that module was working without any other extra efforts XD. When I try "Xorg -configure" I have these errors:
Failed to load module "vmwgfx" (module does not exist) -
Failed to load module "vmware"
Failed to load module "xgi"

Can it be there the problem?
