FATAL ERROR: Bad logical partition 7: enlarged logical partitions overlap

That is a message from cfdisk after having been invoked in my machine. How can it be that it is the only one to detect the problem? Neither fdisk nor parted detect it.

Code:
root@server:~# parted
GNU Parted 3.1
Using /dev/sda
Welcome to GNU Parted! Type 'help' to view a list of commands.
(parted) p free
Model: ATA ST9320423AS (scsi)
Disk /dev/sda: 320GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: msdos
Disk Flags:

 6 275GB 320GB 45.2GB logical ntfs

(parted)
So, in the presence of this listing I can safely proceed to erase, via parted, any partition without affecting the others. And cfdisk is wrong while parted is right.
